To Unpack or Not Unpack? That is the Question.

First, thank you for all of the well wishes!  I am feeling much better, just a stiff neck.  A stiff neck I can handle.  A few more trips to the chiropractor and acupuncturist and I'll be good as new for our trip to Disneyland this weekend. Yowza!  I'm contemplating whether or not I should even bother unpacking my suitcase from our trip to Vegas since we will be leaving in a few days.  (More about the concert later).

Before I get side tracked I wanted to tell you about Disney Character Calls.  We booked a vacation package which included a character call to Zoë telling her how excited they were to see her in Disneyland.  How fun is that?!?   I booked the call for Zoë today, so Saturday morning she is going to wake up to a call from Mickey and Minnie.  This is the fun bit...  In my call confirmation they sent me a link to Disney Enchanted Calls.  For $2.49 you can have any of the Disney Princess (or Mickey, Tigger or Pooh) call your child for a special occasion.  Man, I wish I had known about that when Zoë finished potty training or her birthday.  She would FLIP if Ariel or Cinderella called her.

Now for the Celine recap.  It was a great concert, just not what I was expecting.  I was expecting a concert and it was most definitely a Vegas show.  I couldn't help but think, "Why is there a peacock dancing around the stage?  What the heck does that have to do with the song?"  There were 40+ dancers jumping and/or floating around the stage most of the time.  That being said, it actually worked out well.  I was interested in the singing and Kelly was interested in the "Vegas" part of the production, so we were both happy. :)

Here is an interesting tidbit.  If you have been to a concert recently you know that they always have the little announcement at the beginning about "No photography or videography allowed during the concert, blah, blah, blah."  That was taken to another level entirely at the Celine Dion show.  Everyone was searched at the door.  Not for weapons or liquor.  For cameras.  All cameras had to be handed over to the camera-check people until the end of the concert.  Isn't that totally crazy? And anyone who got up to go to the bathroom during the performance (cough....Kelly....cough) was held outside the theater until the end of the song before they were allowed back in.  Like I said, c-r-a-z-y.

I am quite sure the rumors about Celine being a diva are true. Of course her voice is amazing and she has piles of money so she can be.

So sorry to hear about your neck but I'm glad to hear it's on the mend. Can't wait to hear how Zoe reacts to her special call! And I laughed at loud when I read the part about the peacock at the Celine show. That's just too much!

Stay packed....so much easier! LOL

Oh, Mickey is soooooooo calling Lia next week for her first day of school!!!!!

Feeling any better?

Hey Maegan, the Celine show definitely sounds interesting. I think I'd be with you. Give me the singing and don't distract me from it. I can see where it would be a good balance though for someone who's not really a big fan. LOL And I've been there when they don't let you back in after a trip to the bathroom. I think it was at the play 'Wicked' in chicago. I rushed out hurried in the bathroom only to find out I couldn't even get back in for 10 minutes. Ugh.

Can't WAIT to see Disney pics and I'm with Jayne, stay packed. :)

Glad your neck is getting better! And how cool about the call to Zoe!

What interesting news about the Celine concert - very odd! I'm a big Celine fan and would LOVE to see her show, though!
