116 out of 431
I just got off the phone with Puget Sound Energy. We can see lights when we look out the window, just not our lights. I thought I would call and report our outage on the off chance that nobody actually contacted the power company. Guess what they said? Out of the 50,000 or so people without power right now 431 of them are in Bellevue. Only 431! 116 of those people live in our townhouse complex. That is about 25% of the people in Bellevue. Puget Sound Energy told me to expect to be out for 24 hours, although I can't imagine it will be that long.
What is Kelly doing right now? He is hooking up the generator so that he can power the TIVO so that we don't miss our scheduled television shows tonight. Seriously. He has the slider door open and is letting all of our warm air out so that he can watch TV. Sometimes the man drives me insane.

what luck!
stay warm tonight!
