The Coolest Phone Ever

I'm just going to say it. I have the coolest phone ever. You can't tell just by looking at it. Looking at it, it just looks like a plain old boring Blackberry, but don't be fooled! It is the coolest phone ever.

Why you ask? Well, last weekend I finally activated the fun Blackberry features (email and internet access) on my phone. I messed around with it for hours and frankly I was ready to toss the bloody thing out the window a few times BUT now it is finished. Now it is fabulous.

Why, you ask again? It is the only Blackberry on the planet earth that has a Jem and the Holograms ring tone. Granted, I can be certain of that, but I am 99.9% positive. (Feel free to download the MP3 if you would like). I found this fun site that lets you make your own ring tones out of an MP3.

I also found a fabulous resource for Blackberry users called Crackberry. They have excellent product reviews, forums, a store, articles.... It is wonderful. I wouldn't have been able to customize my phone without them. I also downloaded and installed the iBerry theme and a couple other fun ring tones.  Now my phone says, "You've Got Mail" when I get a message. Hee hee hee. I did find one other ring tone that I thought was funny, but that would drive me nuts if it was going off all day. I may switch out my Jem ring tone for an Adams Family one until after Halloween. I do like my seasonal ring tones. ;) We shall see.

Now if I could just get rid of all of the spam forwarding to my Blackberry I would be set. When will those stupid spammers learn that I don't need v.i.a.g.r.a. or a larger (well, you know). I'm a girl! Good grief. Leave me alone!

One Room Down. Four to Go.

Zoë's room transformation is complete. We decided to upgrade her from a toddler bed because she is getting so tall that she was starting to smack her feet on the foot board! We bought her a full sized bedroom set instead of a twin, thinking that full sized isn't much bigger than a twin anyway...

As it turns out, a full sized bed is a LOT bigger than a twin. If I had been smarter I would have actually measured Zoë's bedroom before ordering her bedroom set. I honestly didn't give it a second thought. Her toddler bed was much smaller than I realized and made her room look really big.  I figured the full sized bed would fit in there without a problem. It does fit, but with only about six inches to spare... LOL! The beautiful coordinating dresser than I ordered is in the closet and the mirror is in storage.

Lessoned learned. Measure first.

Now for a funny Zoë story. Do you see the shoe box on the bed?  We found those princess shoes at Costco. Zoë was ecstatic. She stared at them, mesmerized, the entire time we were shopping at Costco and the entire way home. When we got home and I opened them she gave me a huge hug and said, "Oh mother!  How can I ever thank you!" Now their permanent home is on her bed so that she can wear them whenever she wants.

I am so glad we got her a larger bed.

For her shoes.

Rhythm is a Dancer

I have never considered myself a fantastic dancer, but I didn't think I was that bad.  I can get out on the dance floor and not embarrass myself.  Or so I thought.  Apparently I am much more white than I realized.  Why the sudden revelation?  Kel and I played Dance Dance Revolution on the Wii last night.

(Random little side note... The November Simple Scrapbooks just came out and I am in it! (pg.107) I have made my magazine debut and am pictured unshowered and wearing my glasses. Lovely. That however is not my point. The little tidbit next to the layout is my random side note. It says that I LOVE to play the Wii. I don't remember saying that. I remember saying that I liked to play the Wii with my husband, but I wouldn't jump straight to LOVE. Fun and entertaining. Yes. Love? Probably not.)

Back to Dance Dance Revolution. We are starting to get the hang of it, but you aren't going to be seeing me on You-Tube anytime soon. LOL! I will say this. Man, is it a workout! Of course I haven't exercised for over a year so that could have something to do with it. As it turns out I have almost no rhythm. I used to think I did, but I don't. I don't know which is worse. Knowing that you don't have rhythm or thinking that you do.

It really is great fun. I can't wait to have a dinner party, get a couple drinks into our guests and then play DDR. Ha!  I feel pretty cool just typing that, let me tell you.

Try not to be jealous.

Happy Birthday Kelly!

OK, so technically I am a bit late on the birthday wishes.  Better late than never, right?  My poor sick sweetie spent his 29th birthday all by himself.  Preschool started a couple weeks ago and you know what that means: sick kids.  It is inevitable really. I don't get nearly as stressed out about it as I used to.  Having sick babies is terrible.  Having a sick toddler is a bummer but they are perfectly happy sitting around watching cartoons all day while they recoup.  You know?  Unfortunately for Kelly, he caught Zoë's bug.  The cold that barely phased her, kicked his butt. The poor guy is still sick!  Hopefully the antibiotics that we picked up for him on Monday will start working soon.

Back to why my Kelly had to spend his birthday alone.  Zoë and I were in California! In my defense, our trip had been planned for months and Kel was supposed to be in Spokane on business.  (The only reason we would go away on his birthday...he wasn't going to be home anyway).  Then he caught Zoë's cold and had to reschedule his business trip.  Zoë and I had non-refundable tickets so there was nothing we could do.  We decided to celebrate his birthday when we can back from California.  He did open up his birthday cards though. One from me and this one from Zoë.

Arielcard

Kelly loved this card.  Zoë picked it out just for him.  (The first she has ever picked out on her own).  I tried to pick out a "For Daddy from Daughter" card for her but she would have none of it.  She wanted to get an Ariel card for her Daddy.  (Ariel is her favorite princess).  Awwwww.

Tonight we had birthday cake (that Zoë and I made from almost scratch) and enjoyed a post-birthday celebration.  Kel bought Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii last weekend so we had planned on doing that after Zoë went to bed.  (You know, to burn off some of that cake) but he had to work. Maybe tomorrow night... I'm going to learn some awesome dance moves.  Just wait, I'll be bustin' a move in the night clubs before you know it. Ha!
