Long time, no blog! Sorry about that. I blame Facebook. After years of refusing to join any social networking sites, I finally caved and signed up for Facebook a few weeks back. Now I am addicted. Why? It is a great way to keep in touch with friends. I am horrible when it comes to keeping in touch with friends unless they are online. I am not a phone person. At all. Basically, if you don't have a blog or check your email, you will never hear from me. It's nothing personal. I just don't like talking on the phone. So, Facebook is right up my alley...and I can read updates and post on my iPhone! Love it.
Let's see, the holidays... We didn't get a lot of Christmas photos since the girls were both pretty miserable. You can see the handful of photos I took here. Looking at them now I realize that I need to calibrate my monitors. I edited the photos on my laptop and they look pretty washed out to me here. I wonder which display is right....
Now on to New Year's. That was much more fun. I mean, come on. 2009 glasses? You can't help but have fun with 2009 glasses!
The girls were better by then, so that in itself was a blessing. We celebrated the new year with our friends John & Marie. As a special treat, we had Fred's Steak flown in from California. It looks like charbroiled road kill, but it tastes amazing. After the girls went to bed we rang in the new year playing Rockband. Let me tell you, the later it got, the better we got. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the yummy drinks Kelly was making.
We have a family tradition of watching the ball drop/Space Needle fireworks with the kiddos on New Year's night. (It's not like they know the difference anyway.) I will post that little video once it is uploaded. I will say this though. Zoë is not a fan of sparkling cider. We toasted the new year and Zoë promptly spit it right back in her glass. LOL! I guess I should have anticipated that since she doesn't drink soda. The fizz does take a bit of getting used too. :)
I will post a more general what-we-have-been-doing kind of post later, but before I go I wanted to point out the new sidebar item on the blog. I am participating in Project 365 this year. (Otherwise knows as taking a photo-a-day.) Last year I fell off the wagon after about day 11 so we will see how it goes. Hopefully you should be seeing new pictures a few times a week. It will give you a little glimpse into our daily lives. I bought a fantastic kit and am very excited to have a completed album at the end of the year.
That's all for now! Bed is calling me. I will most definitely be posting an Eden update this weekend since my big girl will be four months old on Saturday. I can't believe it!
